Accessibility. Just one word can be fraught with emotion and significant challenge. One of those challenges, especially for rural southeastern Arizona families, is education, especially arts education. In light of the rising costs of tuition for private lessons, the Douglas Arts and Humanities Association created the Babe Vindiola Endowment for the Arts for talented rural students who demonstrate financial need. Another challenge is the ability to read and write, skills that are central to learning and expression.
